Nice to virtually meet you! Here's what you need to know about me.

John Vermilyea (pronounced ver-MILL-yay) was born on Long Island, NY and raised in a rural Connecticut suburb of NYC. I am now a 55-year old resident of Massachusetts and the proud father of 3 awesome young men who are successful in their own fields. I enjoyed over three decades in Information Technology in corporate America and had the pleasure of serving as a leader and mentor for IT teams at legendary companies such as General Electric and Nestle Health Science. Over my long career I weathered multiple mergers and acquisitions involving midsize companies (Cytyc, Hologic, Atrium Innovations, Nestle) and held consultative roles at Welch’s, American Tower, Analog Devices and other companies across a variety of industry verticals. Along the way, I helped these companies implement a variety of large-scale systems in support of call centers, data warehouses, business intelligence, reporting and real-time systems integrations.

Ultimately the economy changed, corporate structures changed and so did I.  With the challenges faced in my field – and particularly at my age – I decided I needed a ”career reset” and blue-sky approach to figure out the next chapter of my career. Do you feel the same way? Through the exploration process, I realized I wanted to help others who found themselves in a similar situation; not finding the right fit in their industry or another company.

I will guide you through a journey of discovery, exploring your strengths, dangers and unique skill sets that make you… you. We will explore your desire to take charge of your professional destiny.  My long years of experience working with so many different types of people has helped me hone my listening skills; collecting the Voice of Customer to uncover product gaps, unmet needs and hidden requirements. I will put these skills to work with you, to answer your questions and help uncover if business ownership is right for you, and if so – what kind of business? 

Together, we will consider what your internal drivers are, what aligns with your core values, skills, and motivations; we’ll look for the opportunity that combines the right combination of factors that spark your curiosity and passions until we find the right fit to help launch your dreams. Regardless of the path you choose, my goal is to ensure that 100% of my clients will benefit from the experience and that you, as my client, reach a “moment of clarity” regarding the right choice for your “Career 2.0”. There is no pressure, obligation or cost.
